NRG Fundraising Quiz Night

NRG North Shore held a Fundraising Quiz Night to help raise further funds to go towards the purchase and installation of a Seabin into the Milford Marina. Held at the Milford Cruising Club, it was the perfect setting to enjoy a fun night of trivia, a few drinks and to raise some money!

Apart from the Quiz, the NRG team held a silent auction with a number of fantastic prizes up for grabs (like a Sodastream machine, a Takapuna date night pack, and a hamper of Easter treats), as well as an exciting live auction run by Shane Cortese! The auction featured a luxury weekend car hire from Mercedes Benz North Shore, as well as a trio of boutique, handcrafted beverages from CarbonSix Distillery in Takapuna (which proved very popular!), as well as an outdoor patio heater donated by Kelray Outdoor Heating. Quiz-goers also took part in a night-long raffle and had over 15 chances to win their pick of something from the table of prizes.

The winning team on the night took home a first prize of bottles of wine donated by the Milford Cruising Club and a hamper of goodies from Countdown Milford.

There were 2 best dressed prizes awarded, with the best-dressed couple going to PDG Jerry and Fay Norman!

Big thank you to the Milford Rotary members who helped on the evening, and to all 110 people that attended and gave money. The final figures are still being confirmed, but it looks like over $3,500 was
raised on the night, which was a fantastic effort and so close to the fundraising goal!

NRG would also like to thank their sponsors Carpenter Realty Ltd and Mercedes Benz North Shore, and all the supporters who donated prizes or time. The event was a great success, and they hope everyone
had an enjoyable night.

NRG are so close to getting a Seabin installed, with approximately $8,500 collected to date – so watch this space!
